Communicating with site progress is something we feel is helpful and just an all around nice thing to do. Since we are not only enthusiasts in the world of RC, but also website designers and developers, we can design and develop a site that we want to visit too. Launching a site that is "under construction" has it's benefits, but it also can backfire. We hope that our unofficial launch of our "beta" site is not one to backfire, but open it up to those who visit the site with an opportunity to share ideas of what is working for the site and what is still needed, etc.
We've added a brand spanking new header. We designed it to break out of the site width a bit to give the site some depth. It may change in design, but the overall style is set. We like it a lot and hope you do too. Next, we will be adding a photo of the Addicted to RC Slash truck that was just finished. It's a newly painted Pro-Line Desert Rat Slash body in purple and black and has spiffy new Addicted to RC stickers on the sides. Look for that in the header very soon! This will be the truck in photos with our new WebGirls.
Speaking of WebGirls, we've talked with a few local gals interested in adding beauty to the website. Those we've talked to are absolutely gorgeous and will add a look to the site that will counter the tires, dirt and mud! If you are or know someone who would make a great Addicted to RC WebGirl, contact us about it, we'd love to talk to you more about it.
A forum has been installed and we're working through it to make sure it's working good before launching it to the world to see and browse. We've added a couple cool Slash 4x4 videos to the videos page to test the video feature. The forum will be available to our members when the site is launched. There will be videos available for free, but many of our tutorial and review videos will be only available to our members.
Information will be added soon to cover when membership means and how you can become a member.
That's it for this, our first blog entry (ok, second, but the first one wasn't really meant to be in a blog, we just added it here to make it easier). Check back often for more updates as the progress is made.
